Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the Power of God, thrust into Hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Pope Francis – World Day of Peace 2025
Prayer for Jubilee Year 2025
Pilgrims of Hope
The Jubilee Prayer
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity
and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us,
Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.
Amen.

From Sister Marie Faustina Wolniakowski, R.S.M., Delegate for Consecrated Life,
Archdiocese of Philadelphia (PA)
Archbishop Pérez has written a letter expressing gratitude to our retired female religious, which also asks
for their prayers as the Church of Philadelphia embarks on the new initiative outlined in his Pastoral Letter.
January 10, 2025
My Dear Sisters,
May the peace of Christ be with you! I write today with deep gratitude for your lifetime of
dedicated service and to request your prayers for the Church of Philadelphia’s new strategic
initiative as we embark on that journey together.
Your communities have formed the backbone of Catholic education, healthcare, and social
services throughout the Philadelphia region. From teaching in our schools to serving in our
hospitals, from feeding the hungry and sheltering those facing homelessness, to providing spiritual
direction, and so much more your presence continues to be a tangible expression of God's love in
our community.
As we embark on establishing Missionary Hubs throughout the Archdiocese, I humbly ask
for your prayers not only for me, but also for the dozens of women and men – clergy and lay –
who are pouring their hearts into this endeavor.
Your contemplative support and wisdom, born from decades of service, are invaluable to
our efforts. Please keep this initiative in your daily prayers so that we may reach those who have
drifted from the Church and bring Christ's healing presence to our communities.
Know that you remain in my daily prayers, and I thank God for your continued presence
in our local Church.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, D.D.
Archbishop of Philadelphia
